  1. Congratulations go out to the winner, Chris Bush, a long-time expert, who lays a lot of Louisville events. Chris beat a strong field including Lexington's own USCF master Davis Whaley, and three other experts and several strong A players!

Randus Burns, who made the commute over from Louisville was rewarded with A class prize. Perhaps his success will stimulate future interest from Louisville players. The playing site was excellent and will hopefully serve for several up coming Lexington events.

  2. The teenage terror, Taylor Baggley, Lexington, crushed former state champion Jerry Baker in the las round. Last report has it the Baker, who was two pawns down in the endgame, is still trying to find a drawing line on Frtiz, Shedder, and Rybca.

  3. I regret that I was unable to attend. Hopefully there will be another soon that doesn’t coincide with weddings.
